"You have to have enough love of learning to have the courage to remake it, imagine it, and teach it."
~ Marie Battiste
Thank you for stopping by!
You have come to the place where I share my hopes and aspirations
for education and how I work to achieve them.
I am on an ongoing journey of learning/unlearning/relearning.
Education is the vehicle for creating social change.
Together, let's work to ensure that all learners are safe, supported, and loved so that we can have a more just and compassionate society.

We acknowledge that we are hosted on the Lands of the Mississaugas of the Anishinaabe, the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, and the Wendat.
We also recognize the enduring presence of all.
First Nations, Métis and the Inuit.
I live as a guest in Tkaranto on Lands, established under the Dish with One Spoon and Wampum Belt treaties.
I am always compelled to learn more from Indigenous Peoples by listening to their stories and lived experiences, and pass on the truth and knowledge I acquire to my students.
With humility and respect as a settler, I commit to learning about and changing my ongoing complicity in settler-colonialism in Canada and building relationships of trust toward meaningful and genuine reconciliation based on the
Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada: Calls to Action, and what Indigenous Peoples in my community require.

What This Land Has Given Me
It is with gratitude and humility that I share:
This Land has given me a home, diverse relationships and friendships, opportunities to learn and grow, and a rich landscape to freely explore.
Reflect: What has the Land given you today? What are you grateful for?
What I Give to This Land
I hope to give back to this Land by protecting the water, preserving nature and resources by taking only what I need and respecting the spirits of all creation.
I will work to help young learners in our communities do the same by being stewards of this Land and change-makers in society.
Reflect: What have you given to the Land?
